Vocab Review #3

  • Rhythm: A harmonious sequence or correlation of colors or elements.
  • Directional Movement: Tells whether an instrument is trending or not.
  • Proportion / Scale: The ideal relationship in size or shape between one thing or another.
  • Balance: Harmony of design and proportion.
  • Unity: The state of forming a complete and pleasing whole.
  • Harmony: The combination of sounded musical notes to produce chords and chord progressions having a pleasant effect.
  • Contrast: The state of being different from something else.
  • Emphasis (Focal Point / Center of Interest): Special importance or value of something.

  • Tertiary Colors: The result of mixing a primary color and a secondary color together.
  • Asymmetry: Lack of being equal between parts or aspects of something.
  • Symmetry: Made up of similar parts facing each other.
